Randy’s Bio.
He/Him/his
Highly educated performance coach, biomechanist, and personal trainer with over a decade of experience. Working with dedicated individuals in several different backgrounds including CrossFit, sport performance, corporate fitness, and private training gyms, I’ve had the pleasure of training all fitness levels toward optimal functional movement and goal-specific strength development.
Currently, I’ve been mainly working with runners by helping in recovery strategies, strength development, program planning, race performance, nutrition, and providing a full-gait analysis of running form. Being an avid runner trying to hit my own goals (sub3hour marathon!), I can relate with the highs & lows of training but also, walk you through the process.
My passion with running allows me to do what I love. Over 10 years ago, I used running as an outlet to escape my job as an engineer. Now, I get to help all running levels (if you want to get into it as a new hobby or want to qualify for Boston) to understand their gait, run injury free, and run faster through the analysis of anatomy and human movement science. I believe through science backed practice and personal experience, I can get any runner to run toward a personal record!

TESTIMONIALS.
Randy has been integral in helping me expand my physical capabilities in the outdoors! As an avid backpacker I’m great at pushing myself on the trail but not so much in the gym, Randy has helped fill that training gap. I came to Randy asking for improved performance and injury prevention for when I’m in the mountains and have been blown away with the results. Our 1:1 work at the gym has directly improved my backpacking durability as he helps me train for one very long attempt at a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. Randy is an expert at analyzing form and understanding how athletes improve and recover. With just a few sessions my old knee and shoulder injuries felt dramatically improved. As an ex-college athlete, I felt over-trained and exhausted from gym training after college, but Randy has been able to bring a fresh perspective to lifting alongside better form instruction producing exciting and fast results. I always look forward to my training time with Randy knowing he will push me to achieve my wildest athletic goals. I highly recommend him, especially to those with large, specific athletic goals…Randy is the push you need!

After an assessment with Diakadi, I chose Randy to be my personal trainer. My goal was to get back into running and working out after I injured myself during my military deployment. My pain was in my adductors and I was hoping a personal trainer could help me with my form. I had very little hope for my pain to go away since it was a constant and daily occurrence.
From day one, Randy instantly identified issues with my squat form and walking. He sent me the plan to build up the muscles surrounding the adductors and get me back into running. Every week, Randy works with me doing all kinds of different workouts that I would not have imagined doing on my own. But they work, and true to his word, I no longer feeling that sharp adductor pain after 6 weeks of working with him. This is compared to the 4 months I spent doing physical therapy during my time in the military, which got me no positive results.
I enjoy my time working out with Randy. He’s a terrific trainer who enjoys getting to know his clients. He’s always professional, and always on time, even when I want to sleep even more. Randy is also knowledgeable on the different muscle groups, so whenever I tell him I have an issue with a workout because something hurts or feels off, he immediately goes into detective mode. He’s able to identify the issue and resolve the problem for me so I can continue working out.
Now I have a solid physical base because of my workouts with Randy. I can now identify issues with my running/squat form and correct on my own. I look forward to growing more under his tutelage!

Randy brings both energy and expertise to every session in the gym. When I first met Randy over two years ago, I knew he would be a great fit for me. He is always able to match my high energy and intensity, while still keeping me focused on each movement and each rep. And if I come in sore or fatigued after a big week of running, his knowledge of the body allows him to adjust on the fly to ensure our workouts still deliver results week-in and week-out. Randy will build our sessions specifically, strategically, and thoughtfully to prepare me to achieve my running goals and to help me stay injury free for the long-haul. Beyond just our workouts, though, I am extremely fortunate to also spend time with Randy outside of the gym for runs, food, and outdoor fun. He is an all-around great guy and I am lucky to have him both as a trainer and great friend.
