My fascination with the human body started early on in high school when I would modify my diet in order to change the way my body looked and put on muscle for during the off season. That spark brought me to where I am today. I am fascinated by how each individual can modify the way they train, eat, sleep, think and interact with their environment in order to shape the way they look and feel inside of their body. I believe your body should not only be able to perform any task you set out to accomplish in the most optimal way possible, it should look the way you want it to as well.
I draw from not only my education and experience, but through my own training as well. Following my collegiate wrestling career I went straight into competing in bodybuilding. This experience has not only increased my knowledge of how your nutrition can affect you on an hourly basis, but also allowed me to have a deeper understanding on how to adapt your metabolism to achieve the look you want. Being a collegiate athlete gave me the experience of working with NCAA athletes from early on in my education that let me apply my studies firsthand and prepared me to work with untrained individuals to athletes developing to enter the professional leagues.
After receiving my first certification in 2012, I knew I wanted to continue learning as much as I could. I now hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science: Physiology of Fitness and Health from San Francisco State University. I also hold a certification as a Sports Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting. In my spare time you will find me up in Tahoe either kayaking the lake in the summer or Snowboarding at Northstar in the winter.

I have been working with Francisco for over 5 years now, and it is difficult to put into words the impact he has had on my life. I used to be a huge personal training skeptic, having among other things been paying a very skinny girl to watch me jump rope and do burpees in extreme pain and frustration for no results. For the record, if this is you, SWITCH TRAINERS NOW. You are throwing money away. Francisco is so much more than a trainer. He is a highly educated, motivational, acute and brilliant life coach. Having a degree in exercise physiology, he has the ability to explain the science behind everything you put into your body and every way you move it. Understanding the fundamental philosophy of how my body works has transformed the way I engage with diet and exercise and honestly the way I look at the world. The most important impact Francisco has had for me is usurping the myth of cardio and low calories for real results. My goals include losing weight, sure, but much more importantly to build strong muscles, to be healthy and resilient. His fully consultative and comprehensive approach, if followed, virtually erases any chance for relapse. About a month ago, I hired him on as a bodybuilding coach to augment my training. To my surprise and slight discomfort, he started me taking in over 3000 calories a day, and about triple the carbs that I had been eating before. And to cut out all cardio. Gulp. Keep in mind I am a 5'5", 170 lb female. At first, I couldn't see any way this would help me achieve my goals, but I have full faith and trust in his skill, expertise and acumen. 6 weeks into my program, I've about doubled the weight I am lifting, have lost nearly 7 inches from my waist and toned and tightened my whole body. All my friends and family are noticing the significant change already. And this is really only the beginning. In addition to being a world-class trainer and coach, Francisco is an amazing man. He is sweet, sensitive, caring, intelligent, patient and SUPPORTIVE. He has not once made me feel dumb, embarrassed or inferior in any way, which is about the opposite of any other training experience I've had. In sum, I really cannot recommend Francisco enough.
