AREAS OF SPECIALTY.

To Live Will Be an Awfully Big Adventure.
— Robin Williams' Peter Pan in 'Hook'
  • Deep tissue (specifically acupressure work and finding that sweet spot of going hard but not TOO Hard. That "good hurt" feeling if you will)

  • Lymphatic massage which in addition to giving the immediate benefits of slimming the body down, helps eliminate waste from the body faster, makes one feel lighter, more energetic, aids in digestion, helps with sleep, and tends to give a very zen mental approach to the rest of the day

  • Prenatal massage

  • Assessing whether emotional trauma has also built up in the body along with physical stress and muscle tightness.

Annika’S BIO.

SHE/HER/HERS

As a massage therapist, I believe the emotional and mental approach to one's body wellness is just as important as the physical. I am constantly aiming to find the correct balance of proper body mechanics and strength, while also bringing in the holistic side to body work. I strongly believe that our bodies hold tension due to mental and emotional stress, and through a variety of different techniques we can locate the source of that tension and help eliminate it.

There is no one size fits all when it comes to massage. Even if every single client has back pain, the approach to begin to eliminate that back pain is going to vary from person to person. I strive to find those minute differences in each person so that when you leave our sessions, you feel like there is forward momentum in your own personal journey. I believe that there can be just as much relief through giggling through a session, as there is through silence and deep breathing.

In addition to the physical aspect of massage, I have a strong passion for nutrition and fitness. While I do not claim to be a nutritionist, I have over a decade of research and study into food and the digestive system. I have used this passion to aid in not only my clients goals but my own.

We will consistently strive to find what works for you at the beginning of each session, and I will always check in the next day to see how your body is doing after intense body work. The goal is-and will always be- to leave feeling better than when you came in.

TESTIMONIALS.

Annika Bergman has been my massage therapist for almost 5 years. Her skill and knowledge of massage therapy is the highest I’ve found and is unmatched by any other massage therapist I’ve used in the past. I have dealt with severe back spasms, that occasionally keep me out of work, since 2011 and have had a consistent problem area in my upper back with a large knot. Annika is the ONLY massage therapist who has been able to work through the knot and get it to release, and I’ve been able to function with little to no spasms since seeing her. She has a unique ability to connect with clientele of various different personalities and backgrounds, and tailor a session that targets their needs at a pace they’re comfortable with. Every person I’ve sent to her has come back beaming and singing her praises.Annika is incredible and a serious asset to anyone who seeks help with massage therapy. I’m very grateful for her and will continue to recommend her to anyone in need of a skilled massage therapist.

Annika has been my massage therapist for several years and she is AMAZING. She is in a class above the rest. She is intuitive, kind and gives the best massages I have ever had. She listens and adjusts to what your body needs. Her deep tissue massage is unparalleled. I cannot recommend her more highly. She is a gem of a therapist and a gem of a person.

Annika has been a God send over this past year. She has an incredible intuitive knack for finding tense spots, whether I’m aware that they are there or not, and getting them to release with minimal pain. She has a rare combination of comforting, yet professional, demeanor with pinpointed skill. However, what truly sets her apart is that she really cares that you leave her table better off than when you got on. Best masseuse I’ve ever had.

Annika is the BEST!! I have a hard time finding a masseuse who can do adequate deep tissue work at the level I need, and Annika is IT! She was able to hit all of my target areas and I felt so incredibly relaxed afterwards.
